Sorry I haven't posted anything recently. There hasn't been much interesting going on to post about. But then I decided, what the heck, I'll just post the truth.
So...lately, my life has been...
Long days sitting in my room doing schoolwork.
Deprived of coffee due to the stupid coffee machine that decided to stop working. I think it hates me.
Me stressing about college and my glaring lack of community service hours.
Me stressing about the PSAT's and then me telling myself to stop stressing because they can't hurt me at all. And then going back to stressing five minutes later when I start thinking about the math section.
Full of speeches. I don't like speeches. I don't like speeches like the coffee machine doesn't like me. Yeah, that bad.
Uh...that's all I can think of. School, basically, has been taking up my time a lot. But, on the bright side, I got a book in the mail today that doesn't even come out until Tuesday!
Okay I'm done.

Get Pinterest......ed..........
Pinterest...I heard about it through the blog of one of my favorite authors a few weeks ago. Basically, she said it was just like a virtual bulletin board...I was just kind of like "Eh, I'll check it out later," and then never got around to it. So today when I was procrastinating doing really important things and taking a break, I finally decided to go onto the website.
It was pretty daggone cool.
But I was called by my mother and had to scurry downstairs, leaving my computer and my interest in Pinterest (haha...oh...) for a later time.
About an hour later, my sister came home and I asked her what she was doing and she said, "Signing up for Pinterest."
I kind of looked at her like [O.o] and said "Me too!"
Twas weird, I tell you!
Um, so basically, we're both pretty addicted.
I could waste an entire day on there, no lie.I know from experience.
Sooooooo...here is the link to mine!
If you happen to be ultra-rad and already have an account, follow me and I'll follow back! And if not, you're banished from this blog unless and until you go make one.
Okayit'sreallylatesoI'mgoingtobednow.
;)
P.S- If you do sign up, it says you have to be added to a waiting list and receive an invitation, but I got mine within a few hours, so keep checkin' for it :)

Ha...ha...ha....HA.
Okay, I just had to share these...
I logged into my Photobucket to edit something to add to my blog, and I haven't been on there in a long time.
I found these two pictures on there...
But you have to keep in mind that they're from when I was like...twelve.
And I can no longer be held responsible for them.
I know better now.
No judgement.
Just laugh with me ;)
Hahaha....so I feel like I'm going to eventually regret putting these on here. But it made me laugh, so I figured why not.
These are both from when I was part of Team Jonas and on the message boards, everyone had cool pictures in their signature. I think the "Fluxie" one was part of some club that was formed...not 100% sure, but you can rest assured that I was pretty dang cool for being included in that group.
And everybody who was anybody loved the "My only sunshine" one! I got complimented on that a lot a lot.

Boo, Hiss.
Boo, hiss....that's something that my friend Elizabeth often always says. As in, "Boo, hiss, I have too much homework" or "Boo, hiss, we haven't hung out in a long time" or "Boo, hiss, I'm all out of peanut butter cups".
So I'm sure you can infer what this post will be about...
That's right. All the things that bother me.
You get to read allllll of my complaints with the world at this point in time.
But hey, my last post was really positive, so I'm just keeping my blog in balance! ;)
Oookay...
The sun never came out today! Not even once. And yet, it was really muggy and warm out, thus ruining the nice fall weather streak we were having. Boo, hiss.
I was planning on pre-ordering a CD (nobody says that anymore....) for $10 that would be signed by the band, but I had no money in my account so I was waiting to deposit some. And I did! So at like midnight that night, I was going to bed and realized that I hadn't ordered it yet, but figured I would just do it in the morning. The pre-order was gone. Boooooooo....hiss.
I was also going to order Lady Antebellum's new record (people do say that....) for $8 on Amazon, which was the cheapest I've seen it anywhere. But again, I had no money in my account. And by the time I deposited money, then realized I wouldn't be pre-ordering the other CD, the price had gone up! Boo, hiss.
It's September 21. And guess what? The stores have not yet been decent enough to put out the Pumpkin Pie Spice coffee creamer. Which means I have to resort to paying $3.50 for a pumpkin spice latte from Starbucks.
*From this point on I will no longer be adding "Boo, hiss" to the end of each of my statements as I have looked at the words so many times that they are beginning to look weird to me. I appreciate your understanding on this matter.
I'm taking this class...and it's apparently going to be near impossible to get an A in it. And I've worked my butt off to have straight A's for five years in a row. So...we'll see how this goes.
I can't find any good Fall clothing! All the good stuff is sold out and all that's left is the stupid stuff. I mean, how hard could it be to find a copper color-undertone, burnt orange, lightweight crocheted sweater with ruching on the bottom? (I'm not that that particular....not....really...)
I need a job...and I put in an application...and they were supposed to get back to me within a few days....and nothing yet...and mhmm...
I think that's it! For now...I may be back with "Boo, Hiss The Sequel" soon enough....heh.
But! On the bright side I have a pretty, pretty Fall layout :)

One, Zero, Zero!
Yep, that's right, this is my one hundredth post. If you've been with this blog since the beginning and read every one of my insanely random, pointless, and sometimes emotional posts, then give yourself a round of applause because I don't even know if I would read one hundred scatter brained posts ;)
I've been thinking about what I wanted to do for my one hundredth post for a few months, because I think I hit my ninetieth post quite a while ago. I was considering writing a post with one hundred facts about myself, but then realized that would not only be tiresome to read, but to write as well. I mulled it over a little bit more and then decided that maybe I would write a post giving a glimpse into my life, into the deeper things, but then decided against it. Because, honestly, this blog is the place where I can be ambiguous about anything I want to be, and I don't want to change that now.
So I have now, finally decided on what to do for my hundredth post.
It's going to be just like all of my other ones. Because what's a better way to celebrate coming this far than continuing with my usual posts?
Now that I've gotten that ridiculously long intro out of the way (Ipromise think you'll never have to read one of those again) here is a list of all the things that I have been loving lately!
The He is We station on Pandora...I can't really describe just how much I love this station. He is We is a pretty amazing band to begin with, so having their songs mixed in makes it pretty lovable already. But add in a mix of artists such as Adele, Relient K, Mat Kearney, Tenth Avenue North, Parachute, Taylor Swift, and a mix of my favorite unsigned Youtube artists, and you have gold. It's a mix of artists that would never usually go together, but somehow they do. And I can't get enough of it.
Having amazing friends. There's not much to say about this (jk, I could write a novel and a sequel on how much I love my friends) except that there's nothing better than having friends who you can talk about serious things one minute and be laughing the next.
Fall. I love Fall. My goodness. All of the scents and colors and...I don't know. There's just a different feeling in the air. And it's closer to Winter, so who wouldn't love it?
The fact that in this month and next month, there are about three or four CDs coming out by some of my favorite artists and three or four books coming out by my favorite authors. You can't beat that :)
School. I'm so pumped for school. I can already tell it's going to be a crazy, chaotic, and hectic year, but I love being busy and having an endless amount of things to do. It just makes downtime so much more enjoyable.
Lady Antebellum's new album! I think they get increasingly better with the release of each of their records.
Being more comfortable behind the wheel. I never thought I would be able to drive somewhere ten plus minutes away from my house without being given instruction. Now if only I could get up the nerve to call the instructor and schedule a drive time...
My hair color. Ha, so I really did sort of dislike it at first. But now I really like it. Except that I think I killed the ends of my hair by doing it. Um.
Reading & Writing. I've finally been reading (a lot!) and writing more. Inspiration is everywhere.
Sweaters. I guess this should've gone right after the Fall thing...oh well. Anywho, I love me a nice, warm, comfy sweater.
"By Your Side" by Tenth Avenue North. I've actually been loving this song for a few months, but it just came on Pandora (Did I mention how much I love this station) and it reminded me that I have been meaning to post it for a while! My personal favorite snippet of lyrics from the song are
"Why are you looking for love? Why are you still searching, as if I'm not enough? To where will you go, child, tell me where will you run, to where will you run?"
I feel like when I first started listening to this song, these lyrics applied so well to my life. I have a tendency to love the feeling of feeling in love (make sense?) and it's probably gotten me in trouble more than once. I think I also have, or had, a tendency to go to God last. And I think I've improved upon a lot of those things, especially over the summer. Honestly, this song had a part of that.
Mmm, okay, I can't really think of anything else at the moment...plus I was talking to someone on Gmail & said "Brb gotta log out for a minute" and that was like...half an hour ago. Because for whatever reason I can't be logged into both my blog and Gmail at the same time.
So, I shall see you all later this week! Hope everyone's doing well :)

School. . .
Yep. It's that time again.
You know, I had been planning on posting the night before school started, but I ended up being really busy and then going to bed early.
And then I decided that I would post yesterday after school, but clearly, that didn't happen either.
So here I am!
With nothing really to write.
I guess just that sometimes, some things never change (like my procrastinating skillz). And that could be a good thing or a bad thing.
On the other hand, some things do change, which could also be good or bad.
I feel like my knack for writing has gone down hill this summer anddddd I need to get it back. But I may not be posting a lot on here? I don't know yet. I've said that before and been on the next day.
Agh!
This is a stupid post. But, you see, I'm having a hard time focusing because there's a part of me that is so mad I can't even see straight. It really stinks when you have a friend but you feel like they're slowly slipping away. I saw it happening months ago, but didn't admit it to myself. And over the summer, things seemed like they were going to be okay, like they were falling back into place, but now I'm not so sure. All I know is that I'm tired of working for the friendship. It's not as easy as it used to be. And as much as I care about the person, I can't work at something headed for an end.

Hair Die
I may as well have been saying that to my poor head of hair last night. Except more like, "Hair, die!!!"
That picture right there is what happens when you refuse to pay sixty dollars to have highlights put in and instead trust your 27 year old sister to do it. Who says "Ooh, it'll be like an art project!" Erm...
So a little back story...I've been wanting to do something different with my hair for a while, but I'm growing it out, so cutting it short was out of the question. I decided that dying/highlighting it would be the best way to go.
And I also decided that I wanted to try doing the ombre technique- where the highlights start mid-way down your hair, so that your natural color fades into a lighter color.
But there was no way I was going to pay to get this done.
My older sister, Erin, dyes her hair on a regular basis, so I figured she would be the best candidate to do my hair.
I showed her a video (two, actually...precautionary measures and such) on how to do the technique, etc.
I also bought the product, which wasn't a dye (since my hair's so dark, dye wouldn't do much) but instead would lighten my hair and then tone it. So, basically, if left on too long it could dye my hair blonde. Remember that fact. It's important.
It was about...10:30 at night when we finally started. We did a strand test on a piece of hair in the back and the color looked okay, so we went ahead and started. The product had to stay on my hair for ten minutes. Also, the technique involved using a brush to apply the product, kind of feathering it onto the hair and wrapping the hair in foil and folding the foil, kind of into a sandwich shape. Remember those facts too. They're really important.
So, she started on the first strand, and let me tell you, it's kind of scary when your art-degree holding, paint-loving, straight line-loathing sister is holding a strand of your hair and saying, "Ooh! Just like painting!"
And then, "Oh, remember that feathering technique? I threw that out the window a while ago."
And then, "Ha, are you supposed to wrap this foil like a sandwich? This looks more like a burrito."
And then, "Oh, nevermind, they look like dumplings now!"
Add in a countless number of "Oops" and "Uh-oh"s and you've got a pretty stressed out Naomi.
And then there was the fact that the hair had to be teased, and instead of combing it up two times, it was more like....eight times. Pretty, right?
She finished all of the hair, though, and we were ready to sit and wait for all of the product to process.
Except we realized that on the first half of my head, the product had been on for half an hour. Remember what I said about it only needing to stay on for ten minutes? And that it could potentially turn my hair blonde? Good.
We ended up rinsing one half of my head while the other was still in the foil. It was...interesting, to say the least. It seemed as if my reaction was increased each time I unwrapped one of the little hair-burritos (Chipotle should add that to their menu...). There's a video of that, and maybe someday it will make an appearance on this blog, but...not today ;)
Anyways, in the end, the color ended up being okay. It looks a little more like I had highlights growing out as opposed to a gradient effect, but that's okay too.
Anddddd I'd post a picture of it, but there's still a bunch of people who I'd rather see it in person first, so that will just have to wait :)
Oh, and the moral of the story?
If you're going to have your sister dye your hair, be knocked out for it.
;)

Sick, sick, sick...
Once upon a time, I was going to go stay with my Aunt in New York (not city.......as people so often like to assume). And I was psyched, like, maybe I would have something to blog about!
Then I woke up with a sore throat.
And decided not to go.
So here I am, as usual, with nothing to write about.
Except this time I have a stuffy nose.
And a scratchy throat.
And a pounding headache.
But! Before this onslaught of cold symptoms, I did get to see The Help.
It.Was.So.Good.
In regard to a movie following the book, the makers of the movie did really, really well.
It was just so, so good.
I liked it a lot.
You should go see it.
I'm going to go take some cold pills now.
P.S-. As soon as I posted this, I got Google ads for congestion relief. Oh, internet...
P.P.S- This is archived under September. That makes me super happy. Like, a lot.
