Riverdance

So, yesterday I had one of the most amazing experiences of my life. I got the opportunity to see Riverdance live. When I was younger, my grandmother had an old video tape of one of the first Riverdance performances. Every time I went to her house, that was what was usually on. I don't know what it was or is about it...but I always have loved watching it. So needless to say I was excited as anything leading up to yesterday.
Although I watched that video tape many, many times, it was nowhere near what I witnessed yesterday. The energy of the dancers, the lights, and the music together was almost tangible in the air. You could feel the tapping and beat of their shoes drumming through your head.
After the show, I will honestly admit that I was feeling down. I wished I could be back in that theater still watching it forever! Luckily, there is some small hope I will be able to see another show in the beginning of summer. If you get the chance, I recommend for you to try and see it.
